Red Hat Tea Party

Mom had always wanted to have a red hat tea party and has had the hat for quite a few years.........Sharon invited everyone and Mom was able to sit at the table for a couple hours to enjoy all those that came to share their thoughts about a special lady in the bible that meant something to them. It was a precious time spent together.

Dad & Mom's Grandchildren Dinner

Mom wanted to have all the Grandchildren at the house before she couldn't talk very well - she was diagnosed with ALS or Lou Gehrig's disease a couple weeks ago. So they all arrived with side dishes to complete Dad's prime rib dinner. It was such a privilege to witness the love shared between these 2 generations. They all sang hymn 217 - Mom's choice.

Grandchildren Dinner

Dad & Mom invited their 12 grandchildren and significant others to dinner Tues evening (Dad's birthday). I had spent the day with the folks and they wouldn't hear of my leaving before supper, so I got to witness the love shared between grandparents and grandchildren and there was an abundance of it. Mom asked them to sing hymn 217. Very touching. She gave Ryan &Theresa and Brent & Johanna their little girls (expected in Feb) sweaters/booties/cap/afghan sets. Only Katie couldn't stay as she had a cold and didn't want Mom to get that-I'll add a photo on next post.
